Shoes!

I promise, I wasn't always like this. There was a time when I could walk right past the shoe aisle without a second thought, without even glancing in that direction. Once upon a time, I had one pair of black shoes and the other two pair were casual. I was a muddy tennis shoe-wearing tomboy.

Then I got the shoe bug.

It all started when I started liking purses. I had at least twelve purses at one time. They weren't anything special -- just Goodwill finds. It was my first fashion obsession since hair wraps (and that was a loooong time ago!) But what started as an innocent purse addiction developed into the obsession every girl is doomed for: SHOES!!

And now I'm hooked. I have twenty-seven pair at college, and those are just my Heartland approved ones! I have a whole stash of "home" shoes, and I continue to build my footwear empire. Flip flops, sandals, tennis shoes, clogs, ballet flats, peep toe, and high heels... all hold a special place in my closet.

Olives

Let's ramble about olives for a while... I personally like Kalamata olives the best. They're so good in salads, and I don't understand why anyone could like a black or green olive more than a Kalamata. It's like preferring a burger to a steak! Now, don't get me wrong... I LOVE black AND green olives. Remember when our fingers were small enough to fit one olive on each finger? Those were fun days.

If anyone out there loves garlic and hasn't tried garlic-stuffed olives yet, you've gotta try them!!! They're AMAZING!! I know what you're thinking. I had preconceived ideas about them too; I thought they were gonna be nasty and way too strong. Well, truth be told, yes they are strong, but not overwhelming. The garlic is actually a good complement to the olive. Now, I wouldn't recommend eating a handful right before a date, but anyways... :D LOL

Black olives are the picky-eater's olives. Many people don't like the green ones but they'll drink the juice from the bottom of the black olive cans! I don't like them that much, but they are good for snacks and salads (when I run out of Kalamatas, hee hee).

I'm sure I've tried other ones, but those are the olives I have the most to say about. I LOVE THEM!! They're yummy yummy to my tummy! I don't even wanna know how many calories there are in a can of the things... just let me and my olives be!

Soda Wars

The battle rages on: Coke or Pepsi? This conflict cannot be ignored, for many a skirmish has been started over the sweetness of Pepsi versus the flavor of Coke. Many a heated argument ensues even as we speak over which is better. Which do you like? Why? Are you the type when you're at the drive-thru and you ask for Coke and they ask, "Is Pepsi ok?" you say vehemently, "NO!" and drive away? Or could you go either way with no big fight involved? I want to know what you think. Me, I'm just a Coke kind of girl... but that's just me. So... here's your chance to vent! Write a comment and tell the World According to Suzette which you think is better!

And the Green Grass Grows All Around...

Ever wondered why the grass is green? Why isn't it purple or blue? Yeah, green is supposedly the most serene color on the spectrum, but is green on all the Zen decorations and Peaceful Classics CDs? No! BLUE is!! Wouldn't blue grass be cool? It could match the sky! I didn't say blue was my favorite color; if I had it my way, the grass would be hot pink and lime green polka dots! I'm just saying... I don't think green is the most "serene" color, blue so is... even though green is totally amazing.

Now, what about the whole milk thing? A cow eats something that's green... and it comes out white?!?! That like, defies all the rules of color mixing! Is there bleach in there somewhere along the way? Maybe in one of those four stomachs? One for chomping the fine grass, the second for grinding up the tough weeds, one to blend it till smooth, and the last to bleach it??!? LOL!
